    AGE OF EIGHT

Most of us have felt the influences of a coming new energy for the last couple of years. Now, as of 4th February 2004, there will be a major shift in energy and we will enter a new twenty-year Feng Shui cycle called the “Age of Eight”. The age of eight will be a time full of revolutionary changes and newfound opportunities.

Entering this new twenty-year influence we come under the reign of the trigram “Ken” and one of the representations of Ken is the ‘young son’. Therefore the focus will be on ‘youth’, particularly young men. So, given the representation of the “Age of Eight”, we will see young people, particularly young men come in to power positions and achieve success at a much younger age than we currently consider usual. So we can anticipate that our world leaders will be much younger, that the number of our young feted personalities will continue to rise and that more men will be interested in maintaining youthful appearances. And with the focus being on youth it may bring further prosperity to the health industry and we may even see revolutionary discoveries in the field of anti- aging.

However, as with everything in life there is a flip side. So, as much as the Trigram Ken can bring a lot of positive clout to young people it will also wield negative influences. Consequently there will be more tragedies involving young people and the associated social problems will continue to rise.

The Trigram Ken also represents the hand, which may bring us into the realm of a new technology – it is anticipated that Robots will be the focus of technology during the next twenty years.

From a Feng Shui perspective, this will be a time where the energies of your home must be revised. What we once stimulated we now must not – in fact the reverse is required. So for those wishing to maintain a consistent and good quality lifestyle it is imperative to have the Feng Shui of your home and business premises adjusted to meet the new cycle of Eight.

This new cycle also favours regions where there are mountains (which symbolize human harmony) in the Northeast and water (which symbolizes money prosperity) evident in the Southwest. Consequently, should a country or city have this landscape configuration human harmony will prevail and the benefits of living life in unity will triumph and money prosperity will be in abundance. Hong Kong has such a landscape formation and can therefore expect their more current woes to dissipate and both harmony and success to return during the Age of Eight. In recent years Hong Kong has also been leading by example and has built in accordance with this principle by placing both Disney World and the International airport in the Southwest.
